Welcome to Sabali Pots Community Studio!

At Sabali Pots Community Studio we think it feels great to make things out of clay - from the earth, our planet.

We're a friendly community of hobbyist potters.  Most of us have full time jobs and use the studio in our spare time.

Sabali Pots Community Studio is an open access membership studio.

We're based on the ground floor of Makespace Oxford  in Jericho, Oxford, overlooking the canal. It's a GREAT space but it's quite small so the number of membership spaces we have is limited.

Naturally, above all else, we try to offer a safe studio environment. During the Covid19 pandemic we've stopped teaching classes and workshops. If you're keen to learn pottery during this time we recommend Oxford City College as a great place to get started.

The pottery studio has four electric pottery wheels, tools, clays, glazes and a 70 litre capacity electric kiln.

Members have open access to the studio.  Find out more here.

We also run mixed ability classes. They're a great place to try pottery for the first time or to pick up where you left off.

Clay Design

If you're looking for studio space and access to equipment, then why not become a studio member? Studio Members have 15 hours studio time a week and can drop by any time, outside of class times, from 6 am to 11 pm.

Ceramic Art

Classes are a great place to start for beginners or for returning potters to work on their own projects.  On the six week evening course, class numbers are kept small so everyone has their own wheel to work on and plenty of guidance from the teacher.
